Well, it's been 2 years since I wrote, I know nobody reads this but if you are, you should know that I will soon be starting my new place for my polymer clay obsession called abigailsmycken.blogspot.ro
I've been modelling a lot in these 2 years so there will be many photos.

Tools in handmade
Some people work with special tools, others don't. But there are some things that anyone who starts crafting should have.
Cutters
This includes scissors, blades and everything else that cuts. You can cut pclay with specialized tools that can be bought as a set but the cheapest way is to have a small cutter. Small cutters are better than big cutters because they have a thinner blade. Personally, I like smaller more delicate cutters because they are easier to handle. When it comes to scissors, anything will do but if you work with paper you will probably need some specialized tools. With pclay I rarely use scissors.
Toothpicks
Yes, this is funny but it's actually my favorite tool. I can make small holes and I can also apply small quantities of material on other materials. You will definitely need a toothpick or something similar when you are working with Fimo or other types of pclay. Especially if you do small figurines or stuff like that.
Then you have these
When I started playing with pclay I made some of them from pclay itself. Although I don't think you need them all(unless you sculpt) having some of them is very handy. Unfortunately, most good sets cost pretty much for somebody who just started using pclay so I only recommend them to those who are taking this serious. Also, make sure that you need them and since there are many sets available at different prices, check more stores, compare prices, compare quality, etc.
Pasta machine
You will want this if you are aiming for perfect canes and usually for perfect designs. I don't use a pasta machine for my girlies but it's very handy so buy one. A tip here would be to actually buy a pasta machine than one that is designed for polymer clay because pasta machines are cheaper and more durable. (at least they seem so). If you don't have a pasta machine you can get a roller. If you can't get or don't want to get a roller you can use a glass bottle. :)) it's pretty handy until you get the pasta machine :))) or a roller.

Loved making them
These are some projects I made for a brooch contest...a cute one with a lot of nice things made by some very talented girls. Here is the link if you want to take a peak at those wonderful things: http://cdb.designerdebijuterii.com/viewtopic.php?t=1259&start=330
Here are the other 3 I made for the contest.
I tried a little variation here putting some lips on this little girl. When I have the chance I will change the pictures because these are not nice at all due to the fact that there were no lighting conditions.

Inspiration
Since is very hard to do something truly unique nowadays I have to show you what my inspirations were.
First Pucca inspired me :
Then cute anime girls sleeping....
Anime hairstyles maybe.

Other girlies...
Things that can be found here:

The frames of some of my pendants are inspired from cameos, but I wanted to do cute cameos. I like silly little things and I truly believe that my projects let me be something I cannot always be. Of course some of them were made during a certain time in my life so they might have sad or happy story behind.
Anyway, I just wanted to make this post to give credit to all who have inspired me.

Old projects
I stumbled upon some of my previous projects. These are 1-2 years old perhaps. I really wanted to make something special to wear daily so I came up with these.
